    Please can anyone help me?
What has happened is.......i went onto my music and it had all gone for some reason? so i pluged my ipod into the computer and it said that i should restore my ipod touch, so i did, and near the end of the restore process it said that the restore had failed and to try again.
Then my ipod went off and will not turn on again, and the battery was full, and whenever i try to plug it in just in case it is the battery, the computer tells me that the USB is unreconized?

So what the bloody hell has happened to my ipod?......PLEASE HELP !!

when my ipod touch went off and wouldn't turn on again (it completely ran out of power i think) i put it into DFU Mode and then took it out of DFU Mode and now everything works fine.

try putting it in then out of dfu mode - i doubt it can get anymore screwed.

Well, DFU means Device Frimware Update/Upgrade. I'm not sure what the difference between Recovery and DFU is, but I'm sure someone else does.

    Thanks, Alex

I had a problem when an update failed and I was unable to turn it on. I tried a simple restore and going into DFU mode to no success. I actually fixed it by uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling it. You can give that a try if you tried everything else.
