OK, since I have pretty much given up on saving the music and pictures off of my ipod touch after the crash I had. I'm wondering what's going to happen when I connect it to a fresh itunes? From what I understand it will wipe my music, pictures and I even think the apps (correct me if I'm wrong). Will it wipe everything? Will I have to re jailbreak it? Will it even recognize it since it's been jailbroken? Sorry if these are all noob questions I'm just not sure.

No, this happened to me the other day, go into itunes, and under preferences, make sure it says DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY SYNC WHEN IDEVICE PLUGGED IN or something like that.
    Check that box.
Then, plug in your ipod and right click it in the Devices Section. Then click 'Transfer Purchases'.

That's your apps resolved. Not sure about others though :/

Thanks for that. Has anyone on here though had to connect to another comp? I really want to know if it's going to make me upgrade the os. If so it's pointless.
