Well, I think my iTouch is 2.0 or 2.1, and I went into Cydia and decided to update all the apps that needed to be updated (9 of them...), and that was at 5 this morning. It's now 10:25, and when I rebooted the fu!@#ng thing, the apple logo shows, and is still there.
The screen will flash and beep every so often.

Now, I don't want to restore it, but if I have to, I will.

    What could this be?

First thing that comes to mind is an app update that required the springboard to restart. From there, another app update collided with the previous one, setting your Touch on an apple logo cycle. Have you tried turning it off/on, or connecting it to iTunes? Remember to always do basic procedures and to go with your instincs.

I've tried both of those lol.

I'm just trying to find another way to get it back on, without restoring it.

    Yup.
Seems like you're gonna have to restore.
