I've heard that Handbrake is great for converting videos to the iPhone 3G format but the current version has a bug in AAC decoding so it won't work for me.

Are there any other alternatives that are easy to use but produce full quality iPhone videos?

Use PSP video 9 from the same makers of videora. I think it outputs better quality stuff then videora. They even have one designed for the ps3. I dont watch stuff on the ipod/iphone I usually hook it up to a TV, so im all about the quality.

Then again I havent used any of these programs since I got a mac about 6 months ago. iSquint is the best for macs.

I personally use Xvid4PSP. Dont let the name fool you: the program converts many formats (AVI,MKV, MP4, FLV, etc) for multiple platforms, including Blackberries, iPod touches, iPhones, Xbox 360s, PS3. It also hardcodes subs if you watch them, and the actual resolution it used in the touch/iPhone profile allows the user to zoom the size and have the pixels fit perfectly, 1:1 with the touch's screen.

It seems that k-lite codec pack (on XP) and Vista Codec Pack (on Vista) seem to work best with it. CCCP doesnt seem to like it too much for some reason.
