Purely a hypothetical... and purely for some fun ok.

Assuming that this imaginary update would UN jailbreak your phone.... so no installer.app...

Instead you would be able to grab, maybe some free, maybe some for a small $4 fee from itunes.

I would mainly want summerboard and customisable themes.
    And iphysics.

I will be updating as soon as someone creates an app that allows for the same level of iPod Customization that I already have. As soon as I have that and a healthy selection of quality apps to choose from, I will then update my iPod, no questions asked, leaving behind JailBreak (presumedly for good).

I will only update when the firmware upgrade does more than what jailbreaking does for me now.

I don't plan on updating unless a jailbreak is released and I can (as skylar said) get the same or better customization as I have now on 1.1.2.

Also I won't upgrade unless there is a fool proof (or almost fool proof) way to downgrade back to 1.1.1.

So its just a waiting game right now; and I am sure as hell in no hurry...

Hellrider, your avatar would be funnier if it said. "It looks like you're writing a suicide note. Here are some suggestions:"

haha. That's pretty funny. If I had an iPod touch, to upgrade, someone would have to be holding my nonexistant cat hostage, or some customization and apps.

ill upgrade only till there comes a good proof way of jailbreaking it!

    OR

when the SDK creates a community of developers that develop some open source apps and some commercial apps...much like the Symbian OS and Windows Mobile community have!
