Just 2 scenarios I'm wondering bout...
    1. If I take an iPod (jailbroken) to the Apple Store and ask them to check out a problem and they find Cydia, will they confiscate it from me

    2. If I take an iPod with the FORBIDDEN app, will they alert the police of p****y?

    1. They cannot confiscate it from you because you bought the device, and it's against the law for apple now

    2. I doubt they would know if you had a forbidden app or not.. But don't take my word here

Before the law was passed that made it legal, would they confiscate it?

    1. I'm pretty sure they will only refuse to help you with anything relating to your jailbroken iPod.

    2. Idk, but I would censor all but the first and last letters of the P word, like the quote above, just in case.

Just use Poof anyway. From what I heard, some Genius Bar people used to work at the Dumb Bar, because I once heard some "Genius" approved of jailbreaking, and I bet only 15% of these "Geniuses" know about...

They can't confiscate it (It's yours. Taking it would be stealing.) or call in the cops (It's legal now, remember?).

But they can refuse to service your iPod.

My idiot friend did that once. She took it to a different Apple store after restoring it, and they were none the wiser. But who knows whether the people at her local Apple store wrote her down or whatever...

Stealing is illegal. Period. Even if jailbreaking was illegal, which it never was, taking your device would be theft.
