I was able to get the blobs from 3.1.2, and I downgraded from 4.0 to 3.1.2. It went through the whole restore process, and now it is in the recovery loop again. I obviously have the blobs saved, but why won't it get off the recovery loop? What went wrong?

Use RecBoot and click Exit Recovery Mode. Google around for it.

It's been saying "Your device is now being kicked out of recovery mode" for a few minutes, how long should it take?

Download iRecovery and run the commands to take yourself out of the recovery mode loop, it's a more surefire way to get it. Google for download and for commands.

Can iRecovery kick it out of recovery mode no matter what the reason is for it being in it?
