    Hi ,

    After owning the ipod touch and loving this awesome machine its now time for an upgrade for my cellfone.

    I have carried out lots of searching for professional reviews and user reviews and they seem to conflict. Some user reviews come across as they dont actually have the iphone, but just want to rubbish it !

    What are the pro's and con's you have come across with the iphone.

    ie;

    Does bluetooth issues capabilities to transfer images/tones etc still exist or has any newsoftware been released to alter that {im sure I read something about a release}

    Can you still not forward a received sms onto another contacts or multiple contacts.

    Are you able to assign a song as a ringtone.

    Truly what is battery life like. I would be using the handset mostly for the internet.

    What are the limitations of web browsing in respect to web pages.

    Please feel free to add any niggles you have come across !

    Thanks again.

    Well I just got a first gen iPhone myself. Let's see what I can answer....
    Bluetooth- I was just about to go searching for that, because I would really like it.
    Fwd- No, you can't sadly enough.

    Ringtones- No, you must make your ringtones on iTunes(Something I still haven't mastered yet)
    Battery Life- To me, it seems like it lasts much longer than iPod Touch does.

    I bought an iPod Touch 2G, and after a few weeks, I was in need of internet everywhere I went. I quickly sold my iPt2G and bought an iPhone.

    The web browser is fantastic. There really isn't any limitations.
    The battery life is good. If it's just in your pocket as a phone, it lasts a WHIIIILLLEEEE...while if you're browsing the internet non-stop, I get about 4 hrs out of it.
    You can assign pretty much anything as a ringtone, I believe.
