    Hi,

I noticed so many threads about people trying to downgrade to 3.1.2 on their ipt3g, but was wondering, on a brand-new, out of the box ipod touch 3g (8gb), what is the first thing to do?

Is there a process to enable jb immediately, by forcing a certain firmware on there and following a certain upgrade path? Or do I just connect it to iTunes and let it auto-install 3.1.3 and go through the pain of downgrading it?

Appreciate your thoughts and comments as I'm not sure whats the best thing to do now with my new ipt3g 8gb.. Thanks!

Just browse the forums. There really isn't much to do. I have had every generation of the iPod touch. The 3G is the dullest. There is nothing to do. Let's hope iPhone OS 4 comes soon.

Uh ... well maybe load some music on it, some games. Play the games, listen to the music? ;-)

I like to read books on mine. Use it as a PDA for taking notes & keeping my calendar. I play golf on it ... play at football, etc.
