I just jailbroke my itouch G1, and now I don't understand what to do. I click on install for and app it doesn't install. Plus I cant find Rip Dev in my settings, nor do I even know what it is. Also if someone could clarify the terms springboard and repository. I'm very itouch illiterate. So if someone could please explain in layman terms that would be great.

I don't understand what your problem here is? You can't install from Cydia? Make sure you have wifi, if you do, then it should work. If not, click on the changes tab at the bottom and see if you need any necessary upgrades.

Ah ok. Try Cydia. It is usually the more stable of the two.

No, not unless you know how to SSH. If you don't know what that means, then don't worry about it. Installer won't hurt your iPod at all. If you do know how to SSH, tell me and I will post instructions.
