So i just got on after almost giving up hope on the idea of jailbreak, i stress the almost part. And im looking around and there are like 10 different ways to jailbreak it now.

My question is, which ones work the best for people who want to just follow the instructions exactly and not have to have a real knowlege of what im doing.

You should try doing the automatic jailbreak but it is still possible for it not to work if you read the threads you will see that a lot of people had problems. You may have to restore your iPod touch a few times before you get it. If you keep getting a connection error you may want to try touchfree5. Either way if you are Using windows make sure you update your .NET framework to 3.0

i tried the automatic jailbreak but since i dont have wifi i couldn't do it

Im doing the touch free method right now and it feels like its going to work better than the other method.

i'll let you know when i am done

EDIT** The touch free works way better IMHO
