What the f*** is wrong with apple!!??!!

  1. Like seriously....

The iPhone 4 16GB, costs in the US only $US199 and $US299 for the 32GB model.

In Australia however (the iPhone 4 was just released here today), the iPhone 4 costs $AU 799 and $AU 999 respectively.

    What the hell????
There's no problem with the comversion rate. $199 uS dollar equAtes to about $220 over here.

What's with the huge price difference!? Australia isn't exactly a third world country!!

Yep, unlocked and no contract, the US iPhones are locked to AT&T, that's what makes them so cheap (I'm an Aussie, and this also makes me annoyed at Apple)

But they are terribly expensive to buy unlocked straight from Apple, that's why I'm going on a contract that includes the iPhone

You can't blame apple for the fact that they couldn't make good deal with carriers in australia.

The contract I'm gonna sign up to is either Optus or Vodafone. Optus is min. $1176 for 16GB 24 month and Vodafone min. $1128 16GB 24 month
