Open iTunes, go to your music library, then: File>"Show Duplicates">Delete

press File in the upper left corner

    File>Show Duplicates

    delete duplicated ones.

This also shows why syncing is 200x times worse than drag & drop.

You are totally locked to itunes, Can't do sh*t without it.
The genius built into Ipod touch 2g is a **** joke.
You have to use a computer to generate potential genius list, and when you use the feature in the ipod, All it does it create those list already generated for that moment.

    Such a fail feature.
Just shows how good apple is at marketing.

i think your iTunes library in your iPod duplicated, which caused iTunes to have duplicates. if you SSH into your iPod, you can find a folder named iTunes_Library(1). but to delete them from iTunes, the only way i know of is 1 by 1, or with that Show Duplicates thing.
