what software will i need to start themeing?

    What programs will i need to start? besides photoshop?

    All you need is photoshop.

    yeah but thats not necessary.
    ALL you need is photoshop, youll need nothing more pal.

    You could use GIMP too...definitely not as detailed as Photoshop but it gets the job done.

    What about paint? You don't need to install anything. =p

    Well you will also need something to SSH your work onto the iPod with. Search "FTP" in Google. Filezilla's working pretty nicely for me, I think it's Windows and Mac. (I have a mac)

    paint and gimp are you best choices because both are free

    paint is a pile and you really cant add any transparency that i know of, although i will admit that the windows 7 version is far better than previous

    i use either WinSCP or iFunbox to interface with the iPod

    oh yea i already have winscp and have been using that. i made my first icon 2day. in gimp

    im thinking of a theme where all the icons are diagonal so instead of the square icons they will be more like diamonds lol

    dont know where im going with that. i have gimp and photoshop

    any tips for either program? you guys know where i can get tutorials on how to make icons look better?
