what mode is my ipod in??

    i cant go into recovery with my itouch. i think its because the power button is jammed and so i cant hold the home button alone both buttons r being pushed. any ideas? right now its just an empty screen and itunes wont recognize it any tips?

    Well if your Home button is messed up, then you can't get in Recovery mode.
    Although i think i did read a guide somewhere on this site explaining how to.

    the screen is blank right?? when u did this was it plugged in if yes did it make a ding of recognizing a usb drive?? if it did then u r in dfu and probably ur 1clickboot and apple store problem will get solved now

    isnt it in DFU when screen goes white?

    it goes white once u start restore or something else, otherwise it stays black and seems to be switched off, at least that's how i use dfu on my ipod
