What keeps these hidden?

Occasionally, when I download an app from Cydia that adds an icon to the springboard, a ton of stuff pops up. Stuff like the iOSDiagnostics app, the AdSheet app, and all the Springjump icons. I'm interested in what keeps these hidden usually because what else appears is the Camera app. I have a 3G iPod, so there's no physical camera, but if you read through this thread: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2550289#post2550289 you'll see that I was having problems with unhiding the Camera app. I was wondering if I could find what kept not only it hidden, but everything else, I could finally have a working Camera app.

You wouldn't have a working Camera app, it would launch and you could view the camera roll, but as you said, theres no actual camera. And it's Apple's own version of "libhide". When Cydia's version of libhide malfunctions, so does Apple's resulting with all of your apps shown.
Open the Info.plist in the camera.app and look for SBAppTags(I believe it is <key>still-camera</key>

and then add that to your Springboard's plist. That will show the app and make it function.

    EDIT

Just read your old thread.. Laggy huh.. Try removing the still camera string from the Info.plist in the Camera.app

    Then try it.

    No, still lags like crazy...

EDIT: I interpreted your comment as "remove the string from Info.plist in Camera app AND THEN app it to the SpringBoard.plist" I removed it from the Camera.app, added it to SpringBoard.app, saw it wasn't working, so I removed it from SpringBoard.app. After respringing, it worked. The change that made a difference was removing it from the Camera.app ONLY, if all that makes sense. Thanks.
