what it the cheapest carrier in canada?

    im getting an iphone 3gs and i plan to jailbreak it and unlock it so i can do pay as you go. what it the cheepest carrier in canada? someone told me to go with t-mobile. can i get a refill card that is 25$ or less that has unlimited text and however many minuets? <--with t-mobile or should i go with sprint or something like that?

    also i was told that there was an app on cydia that fools your phone into thinking your useing wifi when your using 3g or edge, to avoid data charges. is there such thing? if there is what is it called

    T-Mobile doesn't exist in Canada, FYI. The cheapest would be the non-GSM carriers. But for iPhones, Fido is pretty cheap, but i suggest Rogers because they give you more choices. Fido is excellent if you text a lot.

    but i dont want a plan i want pay as you go so i can buy a card that has unlimitd text and some talking time.

    If you do pay as you go, you text as much as you want until your credit runs out.

    And Canadian carriers charge 15c per message sent, and unlimited receiving (except Telus, 15c to receive as well)

    I don't think Koodo is GSM. I could be wrong.

    koodo is not GSM. For now, Fido is the cheapest with plans starting at 15$ with 50 sms'. Although i would wait a month or two until Bell and Telus become GSM.. then bell will be the cheapest.. and not to mention they have unlimited data options... can you say get rid of home internet and tether FTW?

    Yeah, I've seen the ads for Koodo on the skytrain in Vancouver. Looks like an awesome deal. Wonder if they will be doing a GSM network any time soon.
