What is tethered jailbreak?

    Can sb explain to me whats a tethered jailbreak
    i know a lil abt it that is you have to jailbreak ipod everytime it restarts but do u also have to install all the app again!

    no you dont need to reinstall your apps or anything. Just run the jailbreak. should do a search before making these threads.... it's in a sticky far out.

    well a tethered jailbreak is a jailbreak which every time you restart of shut down it will go into recovery you then have to launch the program you jailbreaked it with and it should reboot it this doesnt remove any apps or any data the reason you have to open the program on the computer is because of the iboot on the new ipod touch is really annoying

    3G 8GBs have a 'better' screen, and come with 3.1 firmware.

    If I jailbreak my ipod 3G, is it possible to start it up after turning it off, or can i only start my ipod when i connect it to my computer?
