What is BootCamp for?

    i simply ran across this app on my mac but i dont know what it is??
    can someone explain to me what it is?
    is it some sort of emulator?

    u use that to install windows (or another operating system) on another partition of ur hd.
    so u can have like osx and vista on ur mac. or osx and xp. etc.

    so like you can run windows by setting it up?
    but how do you mean by run windows?

    if you have an install disk, boot camp lets you parition your hard drive, and install that operating system on it

    well, ull need the windows install disk.
    and if u go into settings, go into the Startup Disk menu, u will see two things, but i see three because i have windows on mine.

    i would just click the Windows icon, and restart, then my macbook would boot into windows vista.

    so i neeed a cd windows cd?

    then after i install it
    i can run windows like real?

    yep. just like if ur running windows on a normal computer.
    but u will also need the leopard os x disk to install the drivers.

    Yeah, it basically dual boots ur mac. Super easy too.

    It's a shame there isn't anything properly like this thats legal
