    Android is a mobile OS.

Linux is a very open-source OS that runs on computers mainly.

    Your device cannot run android.

Linux is a kernel. Kernels run at the lowest level in an operating system, they interact with the computer or device hardware.

Android is a mobile operating system based on the linux kernel.

android is a distro of the linux kernel that is optimized for mobile devices like the HTC Hero, Motorola Droid, etc. etc. It can also be run on the iPhone 2, 3g, and 3gs with ios4 and new bootrom. A.K.A WRONG

Linux, as I said in the previous explanation, is a kernel. Ubuntu, Fedora, DSL (Damn Small Linux), Android, etc. etc. are distro's other wise known as operating systems. A.K.A. WRONG

Yes he can run Android on his device as it utilizes a flash drive as the storage device and the format of the drive is compatible with the android os. He is not able to currently boot the operating system because there is no iboot level exploit (no one is really working on it). A.K.A Technically WRONG

iOS is most certainly not a descendant of Linux, though they are both Unix-like. The iOS kernel is Darwin (same as Mac) which is a heavily modified version of the Mach microkernel. The Linux kernel, in contrast, is a monolithic kernel. Many books have been written about both philosophies and the specific kernels. Check them out if you are interested. (or just go on wikipedia for a some excellent info)
