what is it. how do you put app on ipod touch without wifi?
Jailbreak is being able to install 3rd party (not apple) applications on your iPod touch.
You have to jailbreak first, then use SSH. For what SSH is, hit SSH and you in my signature.
I'd appreciate if you searched next time because these answers are ALL OVER the board.
When you jailbreak your iPod Touch, you pretty much unlock it to install 3rd party apps.
There are very detailed guides all over the board
It's hard to put an app on your iPod Touch without wi-fi, but there's an app called iFuntastic. Go to the General Forum and there's a thread on it.

Not so agree because there is also a program called iPhone PC Suite. You can put an app, set permission, take a look at thumbnail, etc etc only THROUGH USB CABLE. There is a thread also about it in the forum.
Welcome to iPod Touch Fans Forums too, mate!
