Hi all, How can I tell What version of the ipod touch do I have?
You mean Firmware Version? Go to Settings > General > About
And scroll down to Version.
If you mean which iPod Touch Model, then look at the shape at the side:
Hi is it possible that my one could be a foreign version? Cos it looks similar to both but mine has got an opening for the speaker at the top? The opening for the speakers socket is at the top on the left and the power button is at the top on the right? At the bottom on the back is a little black panel?
That would be an iPhone
EDIT: Errr mabye not, could be a fake...
its not an iphone, but how can i find out if its a fake? It comes on and plays music and videos?
------------------double post merged------------------when i turn it on the icons on the screen are from top left, music, video, photo, radio, text, record, explorer, game and settings?
Yeah, I would say thats a fake. Look at the photos of the iPod above, look at the icons on the screen, those are the icons a 1G or 2G would have. If they dont look like that, its a fake.
lol@ radio and record
if u want to know wat model it is theres an easy way 2 find out if ur touch has a built in speaker then it a second generation ipod touch if it doesnt then its a first generation ipod touch but the way u explain it sounds like an other device, try uploading a pic of ur ipod and ill tell u wat it is
connect it to ur PC and open iTunes, see if it can find ur mp3. But ipod doesnt have radio and record as badic programs. Btw how much it costed and where u bought ?
