    what do you mean its as fast and the 3gs? the 3gs speed is only a increase in RAM

    The speed is in terms of loading apps/games etc. Plus, that's a review, not a comparison, so I don't know how you're judging it. Here is a proper comparison of the 3G vs 3GS. video

    And processor speed, which basically makes the difference in loading times.

    that iphone is running the 1.0 ispw, which was made to run smooth on it. the updates in 2.x and 3.x stressed the memory because of all the new drivers and native features that were built into them. my old iphone 2gb 4gb running 1.1.3 (not a lot of space there

    They added a lot to the iPod from then to now. That greatly reduces the processing power. Btw, epic avvy.

    Apple should make there code more device specific!
    what if i put the earliest FW on my 3g, would that help make it fast again?

    the earliest is 2.0 which can be found Here. Although, you will need iTunes 7.x and the old bootloader so you can downgrade the baseband to the appropriate state. Either bootloader will work, but if it is the new one, then you will no longer get service on your phone. Also, notice the file size as the firmware upgrades get more advanced.

    maybe i should be less of an idiot and check on my threads be4 making a new one LOL
    I got the 2.0 ISPW and iTunes 8.0, but get error 2 when trying to downgrade in DFU, how do get the old bootloader?
