Try doing the recovery mode or restore mode by connecting your iPod to iTunes. iTunes may not be able to recognize your iPod but don't worry. On your iPod, press and hold the home button then press the off button afterwards for 10 seconds. Let go of the off button after 10 seconds while still pressing the home button. iTunes should prompt you for recovery mode. Just click Yes. This will wipe out all your data including music, movies, and jailbreak. Your iPod will be restored to its original setting once the recovery mode is finished.
    Good luck.

    have you jailbroken it?

if not just download the 1.1.1 fw and then do a restore

if you have then do the same =))

    then re-jailbreak

You could try that as well. But i don't know if iPod touch works that way like the other generations of iPod. Well, just do what you think is best for your iPod.
Let me know if anything happens...

I let it die but i charge and it got stuck at the startup with the apple loco so i did what you said and am restoring it right now.

then i will jailbreak it to 1.1.1 then to 1.1.2 cause it is faster.
