Here's what I would like that would make things less tedious on my iPod. I'd like to see in my settings app the ability to turn SSH on and off on the top of the list followed by the ability to turn wifi on and off including all available networks as if the wifi submenu was on the main page. It would force all other settings way down but I use them maybe 1% of the time I enter settings. All other times are to mess with wifi. This would make things fairly streamlined for me, and I imagine others as well. I have advanced prefs so I know things can be messed with.

    Any thoughts?

you can have the ability to enable/disable SSH and wifi in one screen in apps like BossPrefs and Services. Neither of them have the available network lists though

I'd also like to get SSH in the settings. It's kind of dumb having it out there as it's own app.

I tried installing the advanced settings package but it didn't do anything and then wouldn't let me uninstall it. Any ideas?

    Services.APP only temporary SSH off

I am using Services.App to controll SSH.
But just discovered after power on/off SSH is always on.
Can anybody give me a hint, how to controll SSH?

I have version 1.1.3 on my iPod.

SSH always on is a bit insecure, particulary with the default password which can not be changed

This is a good idea though I think SSH should be under Wi-Fi because not every user used SSH. I like the idea of having available networks in the main settings screen.

Perhaps you should suggest this to Skylar, he may be able to add this into his extended preferences app.

btw @ ChrisHH - try uninstalling services and installing BossPrefs, I often encounter the problem you are describing with the services app.

Boss Prefs has the option, get it from the installer
    sleepers.net/iphonerepo<---- Add that to installer
    http://code.google.com/p/bossprefs/<--------The one here is old
Look under Config after you install it

You can also get pieces from that installer that go into Boss Prefs that will control Apache / AFP / Ntp Time / Etc

And more quickly with WifiToggle but, again, no access to specific network details (anyone know how to quickly toggle VPN?)

Many thanks, it SSH switching works

    BossPref.App was a good hint!

many thanks! I just checked the BossPref.App and it worked perfectly.
I was afraid that it might not match with version 1.1.3

    Best regards
