    Are you still charged?

Also, I want to download an app "gas cubby" but it is 4.99 (I know there is a lite version).

I think I might have purchased it before but am not positive. I don't want to spend 4.99 if I don't have to but I don't know how to tell if I've purchased it before or not.

I know you can look at your purchase history but the way it is set up it would take me AGES to go through my 2 years of purchases.

well I think that the only solution is to go through the list...at least, that is what I know. Maybe you could email apple, perhaps it would work.

I think you'er charged for the application after your password is confirmed and it starts downloading.

That way, if anything were to go wrong while downloading, you can download it for free later.

It let me leave a review for the app I wanted to download. Just to make sure his theory was correct I tried to leave a review for an app I KNOW I hadn't download and it wouldn't.

I now have the app I wanted, awesome, thanks for the tip jmwerkus!

All your apps that have successfully synced go into your iTunes too. If it's in your iTunes, you probably own it, unless you have been doing naughty things...
