You see, I have an iPod Touch second generation and, I have a two year warranty on it. When the iPod Touch Third Generation comes out, and my 2g breaks and "the Best Buy" doesn't have anymore in stock what will happen? Will I get a 3g iPod Touch?

They still have 1g refurbs on apples website, and it is not like they give you a new one only a refurb, and if they did run out it woul be when the 4g comes out

I'm assuming you mean the Apple Store.

No. You won't get a 3G iPod touch.

They'll keep handing out the 2G iPod touch until it's completely gone.
And even when they're gone, you'll somehow still manage to get it replaced with a 2G.

YES, if your ipod touch 2g does indeed "break" after the 3g comes out you will get the latest ipod touch they have. Just to let you know Best Buy takes about a month to get the newest ipods that come out. ALSO IMPORTANT your 2g must break by a technical issue (ex.the batery wont charge) meaning if you dropped it or smashed it with a hammer they wont give you a new one.

Chances of your ipod malfunctioning is very very low since apple makes thier ipods very sturdy and Best Buy knows that....don't get best buy warenty waste of money for ipods they don't malfunction.

Listen up! No matter what. If you break you iPod first gen or second gen and repair it by Apple. You will Always Get The Same Device You Started Out With. That's how it goes. We went through this last year with the iPhone and 2 years ago with the iPod touch 1g. Apple won't let you break them in giving you the latest.
