I've noticed that ".DS_Store" is almost everywhere in a theme, what does it mean and do we need it to be in a theme?

When a person is on a Mac and they make an archived file like a .zip or a .rar the file ".DS_Store" is in it.

Yeah that file is pointless, you don't need it in any theme. When you are on a Mac, you don't even see the file.

I was wondering about that too. So I guess it's safe to delete it?
