    it means you can jailbreak through the hardware, that is how i understand it at least

    Custom boot logos. E.g., when your device is rebooted, the silver apple in the middle, you can change that, same goes for the iTunes Restore screen, you can change that as well.

    Its a hardware based exploit, which means the only way it can be patched is if Apple changes the hardware. these exploits make things like OpeniBoot possible.

    The bottom contains the code that is executed when the device boots (before iOS is loaded). The bootrom is not affected by software updates.
