Do they recycle the parts and make new phones, or do they just box them and sell the used device as new

I for one would not like to buy one of the "returned" phones

im sure the cost of making the phone isnt nearly as much as the retail price so they would be losing money in the fact it's less than new but they will still make profit it's not like they really need the money is it?

Yeah that makes sense, so they probably sell them as refurbs then

I'm pretty sure if you get your iPhone replaced by Apple it's a refurbished device.

I'm pretty sure they'll send those back to Foxconn factories, let the factories sort them out, redo QC, then box them again in little black boxes and use them as stock for customer replacements again.

So yeah, technically, the one you get from Apple when they replace it for you is very likely a refurb unit. It was just refurbed perfectly using the same way they used to manufacture new devices so that you wouldn't notice...

Drops them on people. Not the phone, the calls.
