*This is not intended to be spam; I am asking for design critiques (hell, I don't even have any content up yet)*

Anyway, here is my site, a work in progress. The design is finished (for now), and obviously there is no content. I tried to keep it simple and sleek...

Please, give me some feedback, and don't be afraid to bash any design flaw you see.

Like the colors, but I think the Navigation bar is a little too big.

The code is junk. You need to optimized the code A LOT. The style css should go into a style.css file and all the pages linked to it by the following code.
    Code:
    <link href="path/to/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

As for your website code, here is a optimized version, your welcome

Change your index page with this version and look at the difference

Also, don't forget to make a style.css on your server and change the path in the code above.

    P.S I was bored.

Thanks for that link. I'm working on a second draft that will implement that along with some other things I've been considering.

I made the nav bar big in the first place in order to lay down a simple theme; to perhaps contrast with the majority of sites with usually significantly smaller nav bars. I also wanted the transparency to shine through as much as possible. I will give this larger nav bar some time and go from there.

    EDIT:

Thanks! The code I had originally was a nearly completely something spit out of photoshop...I didn't take the time to look it over thoroughly.

If you replace the code I optimzed with the one in your index file, you will see a very noticable difference in speed. Just remember, in every html file, every space is counted and will reduce your speed. Try to eliminate all the spaces you don't need.

In my opinion, The "Coleman Stavish" text is too blurry. If possible, Perhaps making it sharper?

Also, The other recommendation is with the navigation bar. Like the "Coleman Stavish" text, I feel as if the text is too blurry. Also, the glow behind it is somewhat annoying. I like the idea of the glow, But perhap's you have too much right now? Possibly one that fade's away better?

This also goes for the area under the navigation bar.

Other than that, The site is looking great. Keep it up.

Thanks for the suggestion - I've changed the look of the header to this: (a bit more commanding, and the text is centered.)

And the nav bar - I ditched the glow effect and went a little more subtle -
