What did I do?

    Sooooooo... Today I installed BossPrefs and I made my iPod Touch 1.1.4 be able to take "ScreenShots". After I did that the icon for my contacts were gone but just the icon. I can still access my contacts through Mail.app

    Try to reinstall the contacts app.

    Ok, this is one of a couple options but worked awhile back. Look in your /Applications and /private/var/Applications and see if it's not in one of those two. Copy it from the one it is in into the other, restart and see if it's there

    use poof and unhide the contacts app

    I know poof works sometimes but I don't think it does on this one.

    to fix this, i used categories and placed my contacts app in a category, let it respring, then go back to categories and take it OUT of the category, and it should be on your springboard now...

    This is the same thing as using Poof, but 5x as complicated. GJ!

    at any rate, the built-in screenshot function is useless on the iPod Touch- no mute button!
