Yea...its definitively rechargeable...why would it differ from the iphones. Basically what happens is the case itself has a batter inside it. The ipod is connected to the case and battery by the normal apple pin connector. On the exterior of the case there is a different slot..I think a mini-usb maybe. With that you can sync, and charge both batteries. You can keep the case plugged in and then decide when to start charging the ipod also

Hey guys I am very picky about cases, and have been looking for a good ipod touch 4g case for a while. I have ordered lots of cases and finally got one of the best cases i have ever had for the Ipod touch 4g. I ordered it from amazon with a really good price also. It his metallic so very good looking and easy to clean. Once its on it may be a little hard to get off, but why would you want it off because it has all the spots for the connectors and things. If you want to put it on a stand or something, you can just take the button of the case off easily. Sorry if if this is a long review but I just wanted to share this with the community. Thank you and let me know what you think, or if you have any questions on case before ordering. :D

Personlly I have a leather case for mine--not sure of the brand. My logic for a LEATHER case is it is more protective against shock from dropping. It also has a handy clip on the back for attachment to your belt.

iWave artist series cases are really nice. Just make sure you lacquer it once or you might end up with a case that has some peeling paint.

If my case is indeed TPU then I recommend it. It's hard when you press it, yet you can bend it. And it has a nice grip to it! it gets slippery when its wet though.

I got the Speck PixelSkin HD yesterday.
I'm not gonna lie, the case is just AWESOME. It's the best one I've ever had! :)

I got a Switcheay Torrent for my 2nd generation iPod touch. While the case has protected my iPod from the countless drops, pressing on the power button just doesn't give me the "click" that I want... it is like a marshmallow. Also, the chrome bezel keeps showing on both sides. Not worth it for me...
