In iTunes, I'm currently trying to find a way to transfer all 304 of my iTouch's tracks to my iTunes library, which is missing a lot of its songs. I came across the File > Library > Export Library. When I did this, I saved an .xml file named "Mike's Library" to my My Music folder. What is this file for? How do you use it?

It seems to me like an backup file of your itunes music library. How big is this file? Is there some option to import a library in iTunes? If it does, then use this function on your computer and point to the file you created when asked.

What that is, is basically a file that tells iTunes where all of your Music is located. It also will tell iTunes certain information on the file. This is an example of what is inside of the file.
You would simply import that into iTunes and it would recreate your Library (from when you clicked Export) if you ever messed it up.
