so im just wondering what they mean when they say " dont waste exploits on 4.1! whats a exploit?
Well there are boot loader exploits and software exploits
Bootload=Jailbreakable for life (meaning no matter what apple does they can not block the jailbreak because it has to do with the bootloader
Software=A hole in apple's firmware and can be patched (in a software update like 4.0 to 4.1)
Over all an exploit is a hole that the jailbreak devs can use to get root and Cydia on your iPhone or iPod or iPad.
cool. so lets say they get a boot exploit for 4.1... u can upgrade to 4.2 and keep jailbreak?!?
long story short, exploits are security holes that lead to jailbreaks
------------------double post merged------------------yesssss??? i think??
Yes and maybe no. The update might get rid of you jailbreak but you will always be able to jailbreak it again (boot loader)
Exploits are made from vulnerabilities/bugs/glitches in the system.
This link describes exploits a lot better.
I thought my def was pretty good and some what true.
