Boot logos are the image that show when you boot up your iPod and the image that shows when you are in Recovery Mode.

The boot logo is the screen you see when your iPod boots (the default one is the Apple logo). With quickpwn, 1G touches can utilize custom boot/restore logos with the jailbreak.

Some prefer to customize every possible aspect of their device. For example, back when I used them, the boot logo said "Hello, Alex" and the restore logo said "Oh, sh*t, what did you do?" It's just aesthetically pleasing for some and gives a personal aspect that most others don't have.

Chronic mentioned it because the jailbreak is tethered, so every time you reboot, the jailbreak is gone (rendering boot logos useless).

cant boot logos work though? place them inside the custom firmware and then they just boot normally?
