Ok, I am currently on 1.1.4, and I'm thinking about downgrading to 1.1.1/2 because there appears to be no application limit on those firmwares (regardless of bosstools and categories). The problem is, I'm worried that a lot of applications won't work on the earlier firmwares. So, does anyone know where I can find a list of what applications don't work on 1.1.1/2?

First of all, the point of BossTool is to relocated the Applications folder so you don't run out of space. That action is necessary to having "unlimited" applications.

To answer your question, most app do work in 1.1.1/2. Some exceptions are the newest SummerBoard, and the new (1.1.3+) iPhone apps.

well, on my ipod, bosstool has successfully relocated the applications. However, I had to do a manual symlink to make sure that they stayed relocated when I installed more. Despite still having 83 mb of free space on the OS harddrive (according to bosstool) I cannot have more than 88 folders in the applications folder......I have been told that this is not the case on 1.1.1/2...

Sorry for not being clear. I was referring to 1.1.1/2 when I mentioned that bit about BossTool.

ok, I jailbroke on 1.1.1, but when I tried using bosstools, it made all of my applications, including the safari and installe, crash upon start up. Do I still have to do a manual symlink?
