HTC Droid Incredible stock with Android 2.3.4, great phone I wish the screen was a little bigger though.
Off Topic: I'm having a Donut right now! On Topic: Don't worry, the majority of smartphones are getting HUGE. Still, the Incredible is a great phone.
GS2 here.... ehh. Hardware wise -- pretty good, could do with a more solid build, but I have AT&T so my options for a good android device are mostly limited to Samsung. Software -- leaves a lot to be desired compared to a jailbroken iphone. It does most of the things that my iphone did, but I find myself really wishing that it had more games. Customization is "cool", but TBH it has turned in to the only recreational thing to do on my phone -- try and make the UI look cooler... because beyond doing that, there is really very little to do on an android (in my experience), other than text and keep up with twitter/facebook. One of my biggest gripes is screen resolution. I went with this phone mostly because I wanted a bigger screen. Unfortunately I didn't realize that the resolution would be such an issue. When browsing websites using a desktop UIAgent, text looks absolutely horrible, and I've tried at least 6 different browsers. Battery power is obviously pretty bad in comparison to what I'm used to on my iPhone. I've been running with basically no wifi / no gps / lowest brightness ALL the time, and my battery still pales in comparison to what I would get on my iPhone after playing games, streaming music, etc, all with my wifi, gps, everything activated but bluetooth. Really, though, I could probably deal with all of this if the device just had anywhere near the gaming experience you get on iPhone. It's not like I want it to be like a DS in my pocket everywhere I go, but it would be nice to be able to have a number of options to game here and there. I dunno. I guess consider me your 0.1%. Waiting to decide between ios5 and ICS.
Should have waited for the Nexus Prime/ Galaxy Nexus with it's 1280x720 resolution on 4.6 inch screen, with 320ppi :3 almost as good as Apple's retina display (which has 326 ppi).
Well, I certainly still can. I'm still in my return period, and might very well return it for the Nexus Prime... although I don't know that I like the implementation of no hardware buttons. I def don't care for it on the Galaxy Tab / Xoom. But we'll see.
Agreed, but a phone with soft buttons instead of hardware buttons has to be quite interesting. I'm not a big fan yet, but we'll see how it turns out.
Motorola Triumph for Virgin Mobile. Its nice cause it doesn't have Blur or any other bloatcrap. So far it's been awesome, wayyyy better than my Samsung Intercept (which got thrown at a wall because it sucked so much). I've been using stock, with Launcher Pro, but I just rooted it and I'm considering trying the unoffical CM7 port.
LG Optimus One P500 - Running Cyanogenmod 7 - Overclocked to 806.4 MHz You really need a custom ROM and an overclock on this phone to get decent performance out of it
