Nah, I don't see that coming.

Gaming is going mobile, and Apple sees that. Soon(ish), the only people with consoles will be the hardcore gamers.

I'll be one of 'em with consoles.

Yeah, I like consoles, their graphics are way better than mobile.

i've never been a console guy. i like games that you can start and end in a flash, and carry on the go.

Its a good idea but I don't think Steve and his Apple team will want to invest in a gaming console (the PS and XboX are too dominant anyway)...

Like what one of you mentioned in the previous page, the iPod touch certainly is THE gaming platform for Apple... That I have to agree, as mobile gaming is the way to go and the device is easier to carry around, unlike a console! :)

Yes, yes, that's true. Although only if you build it too and that can cost lots more than a PS3 or 360.

I agree, but my biggest problem is that the specs required are always going up. A processor will only be top-of-the-line for about a year and a half (Moore's Law).

I'd rather spend a bunch on a good console (PS3), and be able to play each and every game for that.

But I do have a desktop that has games (like the Battlefield series) up and (was) running.

Yeah, it's like $1,000 for an i7 extreme but later this year there'll be something way better. :(

Exactly, why invest in a top of the line computer now, only to have it suck in three years. Its sad, really.

iXBOXStation 4. Or commonly known as iPS360.

    Now featuring:
    Dual core processor
    Blu-Ray Drive
    iTunes connect
    AppStore
30,000 games! And 25000 are 2D!!!! And the 3D ones have 1st gen iPhone revolutionary graphics!!!!!!!!!!
512 mb ram! Twice as much as competition!

Nvm... That was pretty lane and stupid. Apples "console" is the iPod touch 3G. This console lacks console type games though, so it's not really a console, until a good game comes out. GTA is almost consolish but is missing a few things. In conclusion MS an Sony and Nintendo are for games. Apple is just this random thing that makes random sexy looking awesome sh*t.
