he named it 3Gs as in multiple 3Gs. like: Apple and Apple(s). his had 2 screens of sorts, and thus there are multiple so you add the s.
i named it for the redone screen, it was one huge screen and it was mainly the software that spits it into two, giving more multitasking power. haha that was pretty funny tho

Most people didn't realize that everything announced at the WWDC Keynote was rumored the night before the event even took place. The name of the iPhone 3GS, Its spec's, What would happen with the Macbook Pro's, Etc... I was going to post a thread about it, But decided not to because I didn't think it was true and we only had a night to go, So why not just wait? Nevertheless, Good guess
