Mail has no push notification? Why? That seems like a no brainer to have. Why not? Will it ever come out? Is anyone else as outraged as me? Is there another mail client that DOES have push notification? What's it called? GAAAAH!

Yeah, it does. What is that red circle in the corner of the icon?

Yeah, but it's different. If you click on fetch new data it tells you that it checks every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or hourly same as before dumbass. I'm saying that sucks. If I get an email I don't want to know fifteen minutes later, I want to know right away.

Fetch is different from Push. Push availability depends on your email service.

No man, you misunderstand. Mail.app has push, but due to the nature of email servers, the availability of it it depends on who provides your email ie hotmail, yahoo, mobilemee. For example hotmail DOESN'T have push, but yahoo does. Mobileme is push too, and so is mail2web, and that's about it.

There wont be push for every single email provider unless they ALL have a push server, which most don't at the moment. So your best bet (short of making a new email account) is to fetch check every 15 minutes.

If your email provider does provide push, then when you get an email, your iphone (depending on your settings) will vibrate and make a sound, and a little red badge will appear on the mail icon telling you that you have a certain amount of unread emails.

And next time, don't speak like that, think and search and understand before you make comments. Your obviously outraged because you simply don't understand what is involved, if you took the time (like 5 minutes) to search, you wouldn't of needed to make this thread.
