Anyone else tired of the iPad clones? Heres is the newest one from Neofonie: The WePad. It will run on Android and will have its own Appstore. Here is a comparison between the iPad and the WePad

Battery life sucks, but it seems to have everything the iPad needs. Opinion?

Does the iBooks store not use ePub?

I am pretty sure the official iBooks will have DRM in them.

A few google searches have told me that the "Wepad" use Intel GMA 3150 graphics card. Looks like there would be no graphics intensive games on the wepad. Source

Atom is probably better than the A4 and the GPU is probably integrated just like the iPad.

Android OS > iPhone OS IMO and this actually looks like a good contender
Too lazy to look up for more info about it lol.

This. I'd rather have the 1GHz Apple processor over ANY atom. Those things are garbage.

Also, what's the point of having a tablet if the battery life is worse than an average laptop? I can easily get over 6 hours on my Standard MacBook.

And what's the obsession with Flash? I hope Apple NEVER supports flash. All it's used for is ads and streaming video. You have the Youtube app to offset the video part, and many sites are switching their video to HTML5. Flash is useless, and I don't want it.

the only thing you guys trashing on the WePad forget is...that android is open-platform and open-sourced...
and this device is open too - it will probably run any OS supporting the hardware! while the iPad...well...don't have to talk about that. iPad = Apple = Closed = locked down to a very low level.
