Ok, so basically i've been using the black color case by switcheasy. I don't really take it off every night to wipe down the ipod like i'm supposed to. Now, when i take the case off, the back of my ipod has no scratches on it, but instead it has like spots that no matter how hard you wipe it or clean it with water or glass cleaner will refuse to come off. I don't mind them being there it's just that i'm a neat freak and in fact they do bother me. I was just wondering if you guys could help me.

I faced the same problem when using an earlier silicon case that also causes spot-like smudges at the rear of my iPod touch... No matter what cleaner I use, those spots cannot be removed (it cleared away the fingerprints though!)... What can be done to solve this "smudgy" irritation?

Try Goof Off. Put some on a rag DON'T POUR IT ON YOUR IPOD and rub it in gently and the black rubberish smudges will come out.

@SKINWALKER, They aren't black nor rubbery. They blend in somewhat with the ipod. Mine is like Salamantis' ipod only less severe.

what kind of case do you have firebird?

All I know is that I have a black neotouch and I haven't taken it off since the day I put it on (which was like over 6 months ago) and now I don't plan on it cuz it'll drive me crazy.

Easy fix: put your case back on and forget it's there.

You could try a product called Tarnex. I've have success with it on other things. Or maybe ligher fluid or silver polish would work.

Thanks for the suggestions... I'll need to check whether those products can be found in Malaysian computer shops or not... Really need to get rid of those spots at the rear of my touch!

The case i have is the Colors case by SwitchEasy. It's a tough silicone type case. And sometimes i like taking the case off to show off how good the back is, but the smudges look weird. I'd prefer scratches.
