Not sure what to do about this...so if I use my iPod for a while, the screen stops adjusting when it is turned. For example, if I am on safari, I can turn the phone to the side and nothing will change. Or when I'm playing doodle jump, nothing happens when I tilt the iPod. The only thing that I have found to fix it is to do a soft reset (hold down home and lock buttons). Anyone else have this problem, and if so, how'd you fix it? Thanks!

Broken Accelerometer? Either way your iPod has problems and you need a replacement

    Double tap home button.
The icon on the far left is the rotation lock.
    Turn it off.

screen rotation lock doesen't turn off the acellerometer, it just stops apps from rotating.

That could very easily be the problem.

If it's not on, though, he needs a replacement.
