I just unpacked my shiny new 64Gb Touch 3G (which replaces my first gen 8Gb Touch).

After syncing my library to the device, it refuses to play any (legally bought) iTunes tracks which have DRM on them. Strange! None of my other iPods ever had this problem. Do I have to perform an extra action on this Touch to make it work with tracks licensed to my account?

My PC/iTunes is authorized to my account and plays the tracks fine.

    Help!!

Thanks for the suggestion. I've just tried it. Unfortunately, it didn't help much. I still can't play my DRM'd iTunes music...

I hope this is not Apple's way of trying to get me to 'upgrade' all my iTunes tracks to iTunes+ tracks (without DRM)...

    It's solved! Yay!!

For those having the same problems: the problems were gone after doing a full restore and then switching the ipod touch fully off and restarting.

    Somehow that unexplicably helped.
