I have a jailbroken 1.1.3 8gb touch, and I noticed that ever since I jailbroke it, I have this weird yellow star thing on the right side of my dock at the bottom of the screen. When I tap it, contacts opens up. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

Also, when you don't have music playing and you tap the sleep button, are you still wasting battery? Or is there some other way of quickly shutting off/turning it on?

Here's a picture of the star thing:

lol, did you install dock? cause if you did, slide your finger across it, toward the middle of the screen and, all your apps will pop out

EDIT: dont just tap it, hold it down, lol

The only other way to turn it off is by holding the sleep button and sliding to power off, but having your iPod in sleep mode uses much less battery than when the screen is on. I would recommend turning it completely off when you will not be using it for over an hour.

Unless you have apps running in the background (which you can kill using Sysinfo or by opening safari and holding the home button for like 8 secs) your ipods batery wont really change much in sleep mode for a few days
