I posted this in the App Store area as well...

Hi, I am new here and searched first but could not find any answers for this issue, but recently I have noticed that there is no option to buy certain applications from the App Store directly from the Ipod Touch. For example, there is a new app called FourTrack, I can search, locate the app but after I select there is no option to BUY NOW or similar. I can purchase and d/l the app from my Itunes on my pc but not from the Ipod Touch.
I had someone with a Iphone search and the option to BUY NOW is on their Iphone 3G, I called tech support and they confirmed there was no option to buy on their Ipod Touch as well..
Normally I wouldn't put much thought into it but it is happening more and more now, can anyone tell me what the deal is?
    Thanks!

i think its a normal thing. it's just that certain developer has his product off line to Touch users direct for whatever reason.

i too get applications that dont give a download/install option.

    It is not jailbroken
    It is FW 2.1.1
I do have a working Itunes account. Some apps (most) work fine.

This just means that eithr the application is really only targeted towards the iphone, or in some cases they're not even compatible with ipod touch (for example: have something to do with the phone part) so yeah its not really a problem, its supposed to be that way

That is odd that it works directly from my PC with ITunes but doesn't have any option directly from the Ipod Touch. I wish I could get a straight answer from Apple, they act like they have no idea why currently.

The answer was in the post above you, the App is made for the iPhone, because it requires the Mic, or any other capibilty that the iPhone has that the Touch does not.
