    Hi

just bought the tough 3rd gen. I noticed that when I start it up sometimes, only sometimes one of the cells flashes White and then returns to black on the start up screen (black background with White apple). It's a very quick flicker. The are no dead cells at all. Any ideas??

How immature. It is quite obvious it was a typo.

The same thing happens to me (But on an iPT2G). Mine works fine, it's nothing to worry about.

so you have an iphone with a messed up pixel? as i understand, the problem doesnt stay after the boot logo (black with white apple)? just ignore it. i only restart my ipod like once a 6 months on purpose, it crashes and runs out of battery sometimes though. i would only restart if software required it, as i see no reason to turn it off and its worked out fine for two years.

Hi Shawa, yes very immature and doesnt give a good first impression of this site from a new users point of view.

I have the iPod TOUCH. Yes it only happens once every so often, but its fine after the flicker. I was worried that these were symptons of a dying cell, but I will put it down as normal

    Cheers
