As you can see from the title this has something to do with my boot for my iPod.

Ever since I installed iMemory Enhancer which was about a month or two ago I have been having weird boot issues.

If I do a soft boot for example I turn it on slide it off to turn off and then boot it back up.

Doing this causes it to take a super long time to boot up.I haven't actually let it boot for a super long time like 20-30 mins cause I like having it boot up faster.

    Now heres the strange thing.

If I do a hard shut-off like holding power and home button for 10 seconds and then I press the power button it boots up within 2 mins or so.

So why does it take so long when I do a soft shutoff (sorry can't think of the exact word for it).

I do realize or as I think and heard that doing hard shutoffs are bad but not entirely sure.If somebody can confirm this I'd be happy.

hard shutoffs are bad, its essentially the same as ripping the cord outta the back of a computer

It's not a huge deal to me but I don't want to screw my iPod up because I "MUST" hard reboot if I want it to boot up without it taking several hours...

I'll try it out.I'll tell you what I get.Give me about 5-10 mins.

Memory Enhancer is a good tool but its kind of unstable [even at its best], if you really dont like the issues, the best thing you do is uninstall it.

I've been having the same problem. Please tell if removing it fixes the boot-up.

    I love iMemory Enhancer.

I even have my own thread about it.

If yo uwant to check it out search "iMemory Enhancer - Does it work or does it not?."

It's actually a good source for information.

I will be testing on 4.1 soon.

Anyways uninstalling it made my iPod boot up perfect.

I'm glad my RAM is also where it would be without it because if it wasn't that means I would've had to remove the gaw-dang daemon which would be painful.
