Not long ago i went to update my ipod touch's firmware from 2.2.1 to 3.0, but i forgot to do a complete restore before i did so and as a result of that after the update some of my jailbroken apps were still on my ipod and were still operational, for instance MiM (Make It Mine) was still working (though it was nowhere to be seen) and five-icon-dock was still working (though winterboard wasnt)
Fearing i had done something wrong i quickly restored it to 3.0 firmware and then rejailbroke using Redsn0w 0.72, does anybody know why this happened? because im curious as to why some jailbroken apps were stil on my ipod.
    Thanks,
    Kweltan

When you update, nothing is erased. It just updates your OS. Some jailbreak app data is still operational even on un-jailbroken iPods/iPhones. It was normal. Now, when you restored, it erased all that jailbreak data. On another note, when you backup your iPod/iPhone with iTunes, it also backs up some jailbreak app data.
